Never
ever convict anyone without a fair trial, based on mere feelings or based on
one sided story. It’s an action dangerous enough to ruin one’s life. Unfairness
is really a painful feeling.
And yet, many still treated others with biased
heart.
Here
is a story … no connection to the live neither the dead … I write it down just for
a mere thought …
Student
A and student B were partner in a project. Student A was the one who did all
the research and work, witnessed by both her family and friends. Despite the
need to work till midnight, A was tired but extremely satisfied of her
completed research and script. In school, she passed her works to many friends
asking for their opinion. And A smile after gaining good review from family and
friends was wide, she was literally grinning from ear to ear. She was proud of
her work.
Student
B reluctant to do anything and did little participation in the group work. But
she did have the most exceptional talent in acting for she told the one in
charge of their project that she did all the work ALONE. And the in charge (C)
trusted her beyond any doubt.
Somehow
student A was told by someone regarding B actions. And it broke her teenage
heart. B was her number one best friend, and yet she repaid her trust by
stabbing at A back.
Disappointment
and anger clouded A vision and she returned home with her eyes clouded with
unspoken sorrow.
Next
morning in the class, A was accused for her nonexistence wrong indirectly.
Sarcasm and nasty comments filled her ears. She endured. But she refused to
back down as she hinted at B that she knew what B did. B expressions changed
dramatically but B refused to comment anything. B played victims in front of C.
B said she no longer wish to be A partner.
C
asked A’s close cousin if A was the reason B refused to participate in the
project, C asked if A scolded B. There were high chances that C told her
friends about the trouble between two teenagers. However the way C present her
story might be biased because one of C’s friend, which is D, confronted A.
A
was flustered and in shocked the moment D asked why A did this kind of things
and D’s eyes especially filled with heavy criticism and unspoken accusation.
Even A friend who was by A side in that moment was confused. Friend tried to
explain but D refused to hear any excused, as if A was wrong beyond any
reasonable doubt.
A
back home and asked her sister, “Do I look like a villain? Everyone thinks it’s
my fault. Everyone think that B is the one who suffers injustice”. Her voiced
shivered with uncontrollable sorrow and she cried till night while worrying
what kind of problem will arises tomorrow because no one believe in her but her
family and friends, which is, the minority.
“Try
to reasons with C,” A’s sister (E) advise. To see her heart – broken baby
sister, E’s heart twisted with immeasurable pain. E knew she couldn’t change
anything because she understands very well that prejudice is a scary things,
once A was labelled, than the label will continue unless whatever clouded the
judgement of C and D is cleared or unless someone knock some sense to those
two, then her baby sister is going to have a hard day awaiting for A tomorrow.
“Do
you think so? Do you think they will believe in me?” A asked E, her tone laced
with hope and … bitter desperation.
“I
don’t know my dear. But you should at least try to explain,” E refused to give
A false hope.
“But
they won’t believe in me!!!”
p/s:
Dear readers, if you are in A’s position, what would you do? If you are in A’s
family or friend position, what would you do to help her? What had happen in
this scenario might be simple, because it can happen everywhere and almost every
day.
However,
if you are in C or D’s position, I plead you with my most sincere heart, never
convict anyone without hearing from both side. It is difficult to be fair, but
try not to be bias. Because if affects the life of the victims (someone like A)
direct and indirectly.
